Microsoft Office 2007 (free trial) Outlook didn't download??

K

Karen

I downloaded the about free trial today, and Outlook didn't download to my
computer. Is that because I have already Outlook XP or whatever it is, that
prevents trialling another Outlook at the same time?? Please help!

As Peter says it does depend on the trial version you've downloaded.
However, if you already have one version, you can't run another version of
Outlook.

If you downloaded anything except Home and Student edition, then Outlook
will not install until you uninstall your previous version of Outlook.

Once you have done this, re-run Office setup and select a custom
installation and make Outlook available.

I downloaded the trial version Microsoft Office Standard Trial Version 2007
and Currently have a Microsoft Outlook already on my computer not exactly
sure which one. So I know how to uninstall my existing outlook (running
Vista on our new computer) how do I then re-run Office setup to select custom
installation and make Outlook available?? I presume I do not need to
uninstall my trial version, and install again, just re-run setup.. how??
Many thanks for your help

Either use Control Panel->Programs->Microsoft Office->Change.

I had the same prob as Karen and found the answer ok. The outlook did
download, it is just showing as unavailable when I tried a customised
install. I want to trial it for a calendar function for a surgery booking
book but I don't want to lose anything on my existing outlook as I use it for
everything and the calendar trial is for a friend. how can I keep all my
existing outlook files and my 2003 programme and still trial the 2007?

I really want to stay with 2004 for myself, can I save the rpogramme somehow
and return to it after I have finished with the trial?

You cannot, only one version of outlook can be installed
(unless you use Virtual PC first)
