Well now the response page opened!
No it was not preinstalled in my computer. The CD was separately
purchased.
A few years ago, I purchased a notebook with Windows Vista. At the same
time, I decided to get a copy of Office 2007 and installed it in my notebook.
The installation was successful.
Now a few years later, I replaced my old aging Desktop computer with a
new one that comes with Windows Vista, Service Pack #. With the same
Microsoft Office CD, I attempted to install it the second time (number 2
computer). But the installation went about a third of the way when I got
this note on the screen:
SETUP CANNOT FIND PROOFING.EN.US/PROOF.FR/PROOF.CAB

That depends. Did you purchase it separately or was it preinstalled with the
first computer?

I am having problems installing Microsoft Office 2007 in my second
computer.
Here is the error message I am getting during installation:
SETUP CANNOT FIND "PROOFING.EN-US/PROOF.FR/PROOF.CAB."
So my question is does the Microsoft Office Home Student edition is only
good for one computer installation only?
