Microsoft office 2007 word open document very slow

Microsoft office 2007 word open document very slow

I am using office 2007, at the beginning it is working fine.
but recently whenever I double click a .doc to open, the application will
take about 8-15 secs to open the file.
however, if i choose start->programs->microsoft office->microsoft office
word 2007, it is very fast.

Please help to advise.

Word 2007 is a PC version - this is the Mac Word group, so despite
similarities we can't help you on performance issues. Start from:

Don't blame yourself. The interface is as silly as a chicken with its head
cut off. Constant requests to improve it over the past five years have
fallen on deaf ears...
