Microsoft Office 2008 Won't Install On Snow Leopard

Version: 2008
Processor: Intel

So I installed Snow Leopard last night, and everything's been going smoothly; that is, until I needed to reinstall Microsoft Office 2008. I uninstalled it when it was buggy, as I figured it was a simple issue that could be fixed with a reinstall, but now it refuses to even install.

I can get through the installer, up until the point where it tells me to select the components to install, and then when I click "Install"- nothing happens. Here's a video of exactly what's happening, to better diagnose the problem. (http://www.gynecologistcobra.net/misc/msinstallbug.html)Anyone care to help me figure out what's going on?

Okay, so now I have Office installed thanks to terminal commands, but whenever I open an application in Office '08, it gives me the dock's "Application Not Responding" message, and I can't use it. Help?

So I installed Snow Leopard last night,

What type of install? Standard or did you do an "Erase & Install"?

Wrap URLs in Brackets <>, I had to modify the link to be able to see it, but
many people do not understand and will tell you the link you gave them was
broken.

When I view the very first screen, I see a problem. You have only 12.42 GB
free. Even though Office only requires 1.14 GB, this is not enough free
space to use without having crashing and beachballitis.

You need a minimum of 10% free for virtual memory.

Is this a partition you made specifically to test out Snow Leopard?

When you were installing, were ALL other applications quit? Best way to be
sure you get a good install is to log out of your User's account under the
Apple in the Menu bar. When logging in, hold down the Shift key to disable
all applications. Now you can install safely. Restart and do the same
procedure before applying all updates.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help Diane. I solved the issue by installing it in Safe Mode, but thanks for your suggestions!
