I built a new PC with Windows Vista Business, (later upgraded to Enterprise
(SP1)) and copied all the folders containing
Access 2003 data projects to the new PC.
The old PC also had Windows Vista Enterprise (SP1) and Windows Office 2003
SP2.
On the new PC, I am able to launch each Access 2003 .adp, and perform the
type of activities that any user would perform.
However, in all cases, I am not able to perform tasks done by developers,
like: Make new .ade, Compact and Repair, Backup, etc.
I get the following error message: "Microsoft Office Access has stopped
working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I have: 1. Uninstalled Office 2003 and SP2 and reinstalled it, with no
change
2. Installed Office 2003 SP3, no change
3. Upgraded the Windows Vista Business to Windows Vista
Enterprise, no change
Anybody got any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
