Microsoft office assistant

A

all of us

Our office members are probably the only 5 people on earth
who like the office assistant. Since our tech changed us
from a peer to peer network to a server based network with
MS Small Business Server 2003 and upgraded Outlook to 2003
as well, we get an error everytime we open an Office
product --that the Assistant could not be started. When
asked about this the tech said we have to open an Office
application and then open Outlook 2003 to get the office
assistant without an error. Ok.. so I tried that and I
have to tell it everyday which office assistant I want. No
settings are saved so that Links is there waiting for me
and the red smiley face is waiting for my co-worker. Just
the default "paperclip" who we really do not like.
How can we save the settings for the Office Assistant.
Does it have to be done on the server and then do we all
have to agree on ONE assistant....there are 5 of us and 5
different assistants in use. Our day will be brightened
again with the answer to our question.

Thanks for you help! :)

Did the tech install all of the Assistants? They are an optional
installation? Did the tech use an admin installation? If yes, use your
Control Panel->Add/remove programs to add components to Office. If you have
done so and it still does not appear, use the Detect and Repair option from
the Help Menu of any Office Program.
