Microsoft Office Document Image Writer / Windows x64

Hello there.

The MS Office Document Image Writer will not install with Office 2003
on an x64 platform, such as Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. Does
anyone know a workaround? I use the MSO-DIW on a regular basis,
especially for fax based applications, and am at a loss.

Many thanks,

Workaround. Hmm. Running 32 bit apps on X64 does not always behave or do as it is supposed to.

Hi Luke,

As mentioned you may want to follow the discussions
in the 64bit Windows newsgroup. The Office folks
have the following general statement on 64 bit only issues
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;895361
in the current Office versions.

Many thanks to both of you for taking an interest. It seems that I just
need to wait until MS release either an interim MSO-DIW patch or their
next version of Office, which promises to be 64 bit.
