microsoft office document imaging

i am using HP Scanner Model C7710A alongwith Windows XP as operating and
Office 2003. I usually scan through the microsoft office document scanning,
everytime i scan multiple pages after each scan it pauses and asks me to
continue save or discard, inspite of having specified as do not pause between
pages. Why does this happen. Please help me out
