Microsoft Office Document Imaging

When using Microsoft Office Document Imaging, is there a way to turn off
automatic OCR scanning meaning I want to pre-scan the page, select the text I
wish to OCR, and then perform the OCR on the document?

Hi Sugar,

Check to see if there is another OCR software package on your PC. Some scanners come with a different brand and will take the output
of the scan and OCR it.

In MS Office Document imaging, select File=>Scan new document.
That calls up MS Office Document scanning. When it appears
select the preset you normally use then choose
[Preset Options]=>Edit selected Preset

In the preset you can uncheck the Use OCR selection on the 'Processing' tab.
