Microsoft Office Icons changed to generic Windows icons

For some reason, my standard MS Office Icons for Access, Word, Excel, etc.
have all lost their icon files and have come up on my desktop as generic
screen icons. How do I get them back. When I click on the icons the
applications run fine. Can I download the icon files somewhere?

What happens if you right-click on an empty area on the desktop, and
left-click on Refresh?
