Microsoft Office Keyboard Problems

B

Brian Millson

Last month my hard drive failed. I have replaced it with another Maxtor but
since reinstalling my software I cannot get my Microsoft Keyboard to work
properly. It is okay for typing but any of the special keys (scroll, cut,
paste, copy, open various apps) will not work. I have no idea what the
problem is but I did reformat the hard drive with the Drive Genius program.
I have tried reinstalling the latest intellitype software but still no
results and microsoft has not been very helpful.

The mactopia site states that this should work with my OS and G4.

I am using Tiger.

Any ideas?

Where did you download a Tiger-compatible Intellitype from? What type of
keyboard?

The only keyboards currently on MacTopia are either 10.1-10.2 or
10.1-10.3x compatible, and the Intellitype download page only lists up
to 10.3.x.

I haven't seen anything that said it was 10.4.x (Tiger) compatible.

I would recommend first to uninstall the program completely, then re-install
it fresh. I have 1 of every Microsoft Keyboard (I am the Microsoft Hardware
Specialist @ Insight), and I have not had a single problem with any hardware
on Tiger that claimed to be Mac compatible.
