I have M S Office Student installed on OS 9 and it's not working on OS
X 10.3.9, so I ordered the M S Office 2004 for Mac Professional
Upgrade. But, I now intend to get rid of OS9 altogether, because I want
to use Prosoft's Data Backup, which only works with OS X. When I take
the M S Office Mac 2001 Educational off my computer, will the upgrade
work? Or should I cancel my order, and order the full version? The
Microsoft tech wasn't helpful, nor the salesman. literal

Thank you so much, Bob. I hope that OS X will even recognize the 2001
Install CD, so that it allows me to upgrade. But, it will save me a lot
of money if it can be done this way. literal

Oh. That's too bad, Barry. I was able to see the 2001 install disc in
OS X, but your information disappoints me. Hopefully, Leopard won't be
OS XI and cost us extra money again. literal

The upgrade to Leopard will certainly be a pay-for upgrade, as were upgrades
to Tiger, Panther & Jaguar.

I would expect it to be called OS X 10.5, but I personally haven't seen any
official word from Apple on that yet.
