Microsoft Office Picture manager

Windows XP Prp SP2 Office XP
I am having trouble editing photo size.
When I open MOPM and go to Help/about the version listed is 11.551.5605
Looking at the the FAQ's re MOPM, I notice most refer to MOPM Ver. 7.0
Would this be the reason I cannot edit and adjust the width of a picture.
Original size is 768 x 1024 and I am trying to, resize, increase the width,
usung ' Custom Width and Height ", but cannot do so.

MS Office Picture Manager unfortunately doesn't support custom changes to the aspect ratio (width to height). You can use other
graphics packages, including the donation-ware http://irfanview.com

Could you double check your version of Office please?
MS Office Picture Manager is available with MS Office 2003 and MS Office 2007. The version you listed would be for Office 2003, but
your posting listed Office XP.

MS Office XP, has MS Office Photo Editor and it does support custom sizing.

Bob thanks for the reply.
I am using, MS Office 2003 Pro
I'll have a look at http://irfanview.com
I have KodakEasyShare installed but I can't edit pictures with it, it may
not be possilbe to do so with this program.
I find KodakEasyShare very complicated.
I have been told that ' Photo Impression ' is a good picture editing program.
Have you heard of it and and if so, how would you compare it to ' InfraView "?
I'm 78, don't know much about computers, and where I live PC help is
very hard to get.
For that reason I am a bit wary of installing trial programs.
