Microsoft Office Progams Closing

I have been experiencing a stange problem during the past
few weeks. I can open and work on my Microsoft Office XP
Programs. As soon as I go to the menu's on top and have
to use the expand feature on the dropdown menus it shuts
the computer down.

I have re-set my window back 2 months and scanned for
viruses (none). This problem doesn't occur on my non-
office programs.

Any help?
