microsoft office project server 2007, forms authentication

Hi all,

I have microsoft office project server 2007 trial version
installed on vmware. I want to login to project server 2007 using form
authentication. i have Active Directory(AD), if AD is there the below
link tells it is easy to do forms authentication , can anyone tell me
how can i do? I also had SQL server 2005 installed on another machine
& i followed the steps in the link

but was not able to login, please help me out... i am not knowing how
to proceed with this...

If you have AD I'd suggest you use AD sync/NT Authentication as you only need
Forms Auth when AD is not available or you have reasons for not using it.

yes i do have AD, how i use AD sync/NT Authentication , i find AD
sycn in manage groups, do u mean this or how to do this... please tell
me.. im stuck with this...

database connectivity..

I can connect in local using the machine name:
http://ws2k3-proj1/pwa
but I cannot via internet using the ip address:
http://ip-ad/pwa

but the log in / password windows does appear normaly

A couple tips for getting a better answer in the discussion groups:
1) post your question in a new topic, particularly as you appear to
have an unrelated issue to the topic name.
2) give the error messages that you are encountering.

As a wild guess, I suspect you need to take a look at a Alternate
Access Mappings in SharePoint Central Admin on the server and add the
IP number as a viable host name.
