Hello,

I have a question concerning Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar
that came with Microsoft Office 97 Professional. Can I
SUCCESSFULLY USE Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar (97) in
Microsoft Office 2000 Professional?

Unfortunately, I did not receive my Microsoft Office 2000
Professional CD(s) (OEM Version) from Gateway, and I did
not realize it until after my 30-day period was expired.
Thus, my desire to successfully be able to use Office 97
shortcut bar with Office 2000.

If possible, please E-Mail replies to:

You checked under MS Office Tools shortcut?
If you dont have the disks you could be in a lot of trouble. Many office
functions are not installed by default, and how are you going to repair or
update?

Hi Wilfred,

You'll need the Office 97 CDs and do a custom install
of MS Office 97 to get the shortcut bar, however that
process may itself generate a need to repair/reinstall
Office 2000.

Hello David,

I did indeed try to "Install" Office 2000 Shortcut Bar
from an Item Choice on my "Programs" Menu. Although the
Icons (or Shortcuts) were on Programs Menu, unfortunately,
they were set up by Gateway to be "Installed on First Use".

Without the Original OEM CD for Microsoft Office 2000
Professional, I realize that I will not be able to Repair
or Update Installation, however, I would Still like to be
able to Use Microsoft Office 97 Shortcut Bar with
Microsoft Office 2000 Professional, if possible.

Once again, my question, Is it possible to successfully
use Microsoft Office 97 Shortcut Bar with Microsoft Office
2000 Professional 2000?

Thanks for your time and expertise.
