When you try to start a Microsoft Office for Mac program, the program does
not start, and you may receive the following error message:

Shared library error (Carbonlib) May also occur with Internet Explorer 5.2
for Mac

See Microsoft KB 842646 <http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=842646>

The application "Entourage" could not be launched because of a shared
library error: "<Microsoft Excel><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_FindByContent><>"

First try downloading the combo updater from Apple and run it again rather
than using Software Update. Doing so overwrites potentially problem-causing
files. Use "Remove Office" and re-install and update Office. If this does
not work, you will need to do an Archive & Install of the OS.
