If I purchase this great deal for students are you allowed to download it on
3 computers like the regular suites? I use my home computer and laptop often
for school.

The only suite you can legally use on three machines is Home and Student.
Other than that, if it's Retail and not OEM you should be able to install
and activate on one primary device and one portable...

Regular suites do NOT allow for three uses. I believe you can install it on
your desktop and your laptop but you need to read the license to be
positive.
