Microsoft Office Update telling me to update Office2K, I have O3K

8

800x600

As of last month's (July06) security patch update block, Microsoft Office
Update page is now always telling me to update 3 Office2K security patches,
but I have only Office3K and Frontpage2002 installed (having the FP2002 I get
XP updates I must install - I expect that, though).

2 of these files will not even download, the donload screen just hangs about
1/3 to 2/3 complete. The on I can download fully is of course, once strated,
asking me for my Ofice2K disk.

This does not make any sense.

Is there a flag I can turn around in the registry so that files are set to
"succesful" or somtething along those lines, unless someone has a better idea?

If you have any 2000 series MS products in Add/Remove Programs in the windows control panel you will usually get asked to install
updates for them. You can adjust the 'show me' choices if you're using MS Update rather than MS Office Update (but then MS Update
doesn't do Office 2000 updates, so actually you'd not need to adjust the settings there) [it only does Office XP and Office 2003].
