microsoft office word dialog box message

i recently tried to open an attachment file that i nee to fill in and e,ail
back but a meesage pops up saying the command can not be preformed because a
dialog box is open. What do i do to get the attachment to open. I don't know
what a dialog box is.

You had something open aside from what was showing. Close it and retry
