Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 3 difficulties esp. with Excel

I tried to install the recommended MS Office SP3, but the installation
failed. It asked me to insert the "Microsoft Small Business Disk." I do not
have this disk--I think the software came pre-installed on my computer. When
I hit cancel, the update fails---but since trying the update, I cannot start
MS Excel due to the same message.

What should I do? Please help.
