Microsoft Office XP Standard

Robert Sladek

I am considering purchasing the full version of Microsoft
Office XP Standard. Will this also load Windows XP
operating system, or do I have to purchase that
separately. I currently am running Windows 98SE, and want
to upgrade, but don't want to buy Windows XP if Office XP
will install it.Regards, Robert

Is there a patch or some other method which will allow for
XP and 2000 to share calendars?

Operating System(Windows XP Home or Professional) are completely
seperate from the Office Suite (Office XP whatever Pro, Standard,
Student andteacher) You must get them individually. Be VERY sure your
hardware (all the stuff that makes up your computer) can handle Windows
XP operating system BEFORE you try to install it.

Robert,
MS Office XP does not include the Windows XP operating
system. You will have to purchase it separately as an
upgrade. Windows XP comes in 2 "flavors". Professional and
Home editions. It will cost you about $180 for Pro. or $80
for Home edition. Make sure your PC can handle the upgrade.
You will need at least 2 GB of free space and a minimum of
256 MB RAM. The more the merrier on both. Good Luck.

Windows XP and Office XP are entirely different products. Installing one
does not install the other. You will need to purchase Windows XP upgrade
version separately.

Mailed and Posted.

Office XP and Windows XP are two different programs, neither contains the
other. Whether office XP will run on W98SE I can't tell you. You might be
better upgrading to Windows XP anyway.
