Hello! and Help Please...

When re-installing MS Office xp Student and Teacher 2002 I get the following
message.

Error 1335. The cabinet file 'OFFICE1.CAB'required for this installation is
corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error
reading from the CD-Rom, or a problem with this package.

selected ignore: This is the next info about error to me:
---------------------------------------
Error 2350. An internal error has occurred. ( ) Contact
Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) for assistance. For information
about how to contact PSS, see

I've contacted MS and have bee re-issued new CD, same problem. I can use my
cd rom for other installations. Some one said all of the old program from
the registry was still on my hard drive. Going to add/remove programs
doesn't help because it isn't there any more.

Any one have this problem or is this familiar? I've been on the phone for
hours with microsoft. They've yet to solve this.

Best Regards,
ajpaavo

Hi, ajpaavo,

Can you try to copy the CD to your hard drive, and run setup from there?

Can you attach a different CD drive to your computer and try that? Does the
CD work in other computers?
