Microsoft Office XP Updates

While I am trying to get my updates, it gets to a certain
point, ask for me to insert my CD...constantly looking
for the SR-1 file. I purchased Microsoft Office XP
Professional and did not just update from Office 2000.
What do I do next? It says the SR-1 update is only for
Windows 2000 programs. Help???

Do you perhaps have a Office 2000 family application installed on your
computer such as FrontPage 2000 or Publisher 2000?

If so, the update site is trying to trying to update those applications and
you should try their CDs.

Microsoft issued two versions of the Office 2000 SR-1. The initial release
had installation problems with some Windows 2000 computers. The SR-1 update
modified the installer to correct installation problems. Else they were the
same. The message is saying that if SR-1 successfully installed or your
product came with SR-1 you do not need to install the version of SR-1 with
the installer modified for Windows 2000.

If you have one of the applications, above, open it and check Help, About to
find our if SR-1 has been installed.
