Microsoft Office XP

Ok, when I start using Microsoft Excel XP, I clicked on
the yellow folder to open a document. With no hands on the
keyboard, In the file search box, text was being typed in
and I had nothing on the keyboard. It said something like
the Span ... Then when I finally opened the document i
wanted and clicked on a open cell to type in some text,
The file drop down menu opened and then Edit menu and then
another menu opend without me clicking on any of them. I
have worked with Office 95 -XP and have never seen
anything like this. I uninstalled the Assitant and updated
the service pack. Still problems. Does anyone know what
is going on? Please help.

Do you have a microphone? Is it turned on. There is a speach-to-text
option that may be turned on. Sorry, I don't know how to turn it on and
off.

Hi Chad,

Go to your Tools menu and turn off Speech Recognition.
