i need to do a systems restore. Can i reinstall it?

if you have the media and the license key, yes. If it's Office XP you may
run into problems with activation in that it may say that it's already been
activated and won't let you activate it again, in which case call Microsoft
and activate it over the phone after explaining the situation to them.
