Hello, in an effort to free up disk space on my C drive, I
deleted a massive load of things.

Then I thought maybe I might need some of these things
which I've deleted.

So I cut them from the Recycle Bin and put everything into
a file in my D drive.

Help me please. Nothing is working. And I don't know why.

So, what did you expect?

Whatever you delete {notice you did not specify} and then restored to your D
drive is on your D drive. If what you deleted is part of Office, then
Windows registry has no information on where you decided to restore the
files.

IMO
The best approach is to reinstall Office and any other applications you move
to the D drive. Then look at your D drive for data files {.*.doc, *.xls,
etc} and move them to My Documents. Then delete the rest of the files.

All Windows based application place entries in your Windows registry
pointing to the location of needed file. When you move files to the D drive,
all of the file location pointers became invalid. So, nothing works.
