Dear all

can anyone help me?

I am using Windows Vista on my Sony VAIO laptop..
When i open any excel/words document, system prompts that Windows is Not
responding, along with the error message:

Have tried re-installing the Microsoft Office Hone and Student several
times, but to no avail. Have done all windows updates.

Did anyone encounter this or have a solution to it?
Or shall i re-install the whole windows vista or ....?

I believe it is a Vista problem, related to Visual Basic.
I'm not up to speed on Vista, but does it not have a system file checker?
