Microsoft Offide for Mac 2004 Causes Sleep Problem

After installing the latest update for Office for Mac 2004, my G4 will
not fall asleep automatically according to the setting in System
Preferences. I can put it to sleep manually, but since I don't always
know when I am not coming back to the computer for awhile, this is an
issue for me. Can anyone help? Is it possible to uninstall this
update, or would it involve uninstalling all the Office apps and
starting over? I sure hope not.

You might need to download the combo updater from Apple and run it again
rather than using Software Update. Doing so overwrites potentially
problem-causing files. Several users have reported this fixed some odd
problems they were having with Entourage.

Combo updaters will install on the same version as they're applying--no need
to roll back or do a clean install

The combo update installer updates Mac OS X 10.4, 10.4.1, 10.4.2, 10.4.3,
10.4.4, 10.4.5, 10.4.6, 10.4.7, or 10.4.8 to 10.4.9.

I see that my replies didn't post. Nothing seems to be working--not
this solution nor the links in the notification email that are
supposed to get me to your reply and to notify the group that the
suggestion did not work so this is still a live question that I would
still love to have someone address.

It might take an Archive & Install to fix the problem. Sorry, I have no
other suggestions at this time.
