Hi all.
I posted a request for info a couple of weeks ago in here, but can't
find it anymore!
Basically, we run Microsoft Office 2003. Up until recently, all
desktops were "open" with all users having Admin rights based on their
Active Directory accounts (e.g. DOMAIN\User). I started taking these
off. Now, users are experiencing Outlook 2003 problems with Application
Hung messages in their event logs similar to this:
Event ID: 1002
Source: Application Hang
User: N/A
Generated: 29/03/2006 16:18:30
Message: Hanging application OUTLOOK.EXE, version 11.0.8010.0, hang
module hungapp,
version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.
Data: Application Hang OUTLOOK.EXE 11.0.8010.0 in hungapp 0.0.0.0 at
offset 00000000
We're running a Windows 2003 Domain, with folder redirection on
Application Data, Desktop and My Documents. Was just wondering if the
hang-ups were because Outlook is trying to write to a directory which
unless the user has admin rights on their machine, causes it to lock up.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Dave
