Microsoft Outlook reminder service will not work

Microsoft Outlook reminder service will not work.

I tried using the OUTLOOK.EXE /ResetFolders fix, but it did not work.

I had the error a few months ago and the ResetFolders fix did correct
the problem.

The error reocurred today and ResetFolders did not work this time.

Any other ideas out there?

Have you tried the /cleanreminders switch?

Yes, I tried /cleanreminders and also ran a detect and repair.

Nothing has worked. Very frustrating.

/resetfolders worked the first time I had the problem.

The problem has somehow re-occured and nothing that I have tried has
corrected it.

You could delete and recreate the Outlook profile to see if that helps:

There's also a possibility that renaming the outcmd.dat file and even
deleting the .SRS file might help.

In addition to what Kathleen suggested, are you using any sort of PDA
device?

I've seen some of them corrupt the reminders service beyond repair because
they mistakenly replicate the hidden Reminders folder. You end up with
Reminders, Reminders1, Reminders2, etc. None of them end up as working
search folders (that's what Reminders is) and the only way to fix that which
I've seen is to go into a MAPI viewer tool such as OutlookSpy or MFCMAPI and
delete all Reminders folders under Finder and then exit Outlook and restart
with /resetfolders.

Then you have to repeat each time Reminders gets screwed or update to later
or better PDA synch software.

Some versions of Blackberry software are notorious for doing that.
