Microsoft Problem with Office XP Updates

W

William Wagner

After reading many problems with Office XP Updates - missing .msp files after using Restore, it seems logical that Microsoft needs to correct this problem. Maybe this is just another item that some State's Attorney General needs to look into in that maybe it is a deliberate action by the company. Just seems very funny that so many have the same problem and no one seems to have the answer. I have sent numerous e-mail to Microsoft for help in solving this problem yet no response. I have also been caught in the Catch 22 situation where the oem of my computer says it's a Microsoft problem and Microsoft says you bought the software from the oem. Maybe enough of this type of e-mail might catch someone's attention and fix the problem.

If you get an answer to this please post it everywhere as
I too have the same problem and see I'm certainly not
alone.

Check http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?

I had the same problem, and this fixed it. You can also
call MS Office support, and they will help even if you
have OEM software, as long as you make it clear to them
that the problem is with Update, not the basic software.

Good Luck, John
