THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE
Project is a more limited and focused program than spreadsheets and
databases. Someone here called it a database that understands time,
which is a pretty good description.
Project helps the user implement a process called Critical Path Method
scheduling, which, in a nutshell, is a far more objective way of
scheduling than any other method I know of. If the schedule is set up
properly, it gives you a superior tool for managing and controlling
your project.
The software also gives you excellent visual tools for analyzing and
understanding your schedule and for anticipating obstacles and
problems. However, it does have a pretty steep learning curve. A good
book and a good class really help.
Hope this helps in your world.
