Microsoft project 2003 SMS Deployment

Hi,

We are looking into deploying SP3 using SMS.
When a user connects the first time to PWA after it has been upgraded, he
will need to download the controls and accept the license agreement. We would
like to avoid that by creating a batch that wiil install the controls and
advertise it using SMS so controls will be installed in the same time as SP3.

We have already done similar thing when we have deployed SP2a. So I'm
looking for the list of .dll's and ocx's that are in the new controls package.
If there is a better way to remotely install those controls, I'm of course
for it.

Hi Ludo,

SMS is a good way to go when users are prevented from downloading and
installing ActiveX controls. An alternative would be to run a script through
Group Policy, however this is more difficult to control and measure.
