Microsoft Project 2007 Calendars??????

I've entered a 1 day duration into project, but the length of the actual
activity shown on the calender goes over 1 day, i haven't changed anything as
i'm using the standard project calender, so how has this happened, can anyone
please help?

Your definition of what is "a day" is out of sync with your calendar.
Check Tools, Options, Calendar.
