Microsoft Project 2007 cannot install with Office 2007

I have Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 succesfully installed with Windows
Vista.
When I try to install Microsoft Project 2007 it says it cannot be installed
over previous versions of Microsoft Office, and installation doesn't start.
I had MS Office trial 2003, which I uninstalled. Some pieces left perhaps?.
Any solutions?

Hi Tony,

Did you have the trial version of Office 2007 or one of the beta
versions installed?

There were several reports of problems with installation if a beta was
installed. For a possible resolution to the beta issue see:

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I had the trial version 2003 that comes preinstalled in my notebook. I
uninstalled it with the control panel but there are still parts of it shown
in all programs like power point viewer 2003, which I can't remove because
not shown in the control panel.

Hi Tony,

Okay, it sounds as though you may need to get a third party software to
remove all traces of Office 2003 as the uninstaller didn't work. I'm
afraid I am not terribly familiar with Vista so I'd recommend trying the
vista newsgroup for some recommendations about uninstalling and cleaning
software (there might be something built into Vista for all I know.)

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
