Microsoft Project and Web Access

Scott

I'm having a problem publishing a project with project
pro and viewing the project on web access. when i publish
it, it seems to go through just fine, no error or
anything (as if the project was actually published) then
i go to my web access page and click the projects tab and
it shows no projects in there, i change all the views and
still nothing. Then i go back to project pro and go to
collaborate -> project center .. to see if i can see the
project in there and its not showing in there like its
supposed to be.. all my settings are correct i double
check them like 10 times. the project was saved and all
the intranet and external addresses correct... can
someone please give me some feedback on what i can try
next.. thank you very much.. you could e-mail me the feed
back that would be helpful. thanks.

Hi Scott,

Try posting on the server newsgroup. Please see FAQ Item: 24. Project
Newsgroups. FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information
can be seen at this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/.

gottin any replies yet on the server newsgroup yet though.

Well, cross posting doesn't help and most of the "experts" read all the
newsgroups and it can be annoying spending time answering a query only to
find that someone else has spent their time giving the same answer :) You
need to have patience - we're all volunteers here :)

Yea true I agree. I'll just sit around and wait, in the
mean-time try to figure it out myself ;)... Thanks again

It sounds as if your viewing permissions are prohibiting you from seeing the
projects. If you can open the project from the server again then it is
published. On PWA with adequite permission go to admin and security
settings. The user that is logged on will see what you set up here.

You're welcome, Scott - I wish I could help but I don't have a server :(

Thanks for the reply Martin,

I checked all my permissions in the admin section ont he
MWA and security options.. for my user name i have full
admin rights for everything.. i checked allow for
everything in there.. and still not working.. what i
think the problem is now is that the MSP is using the MY
COMPUTER ACCOUNT in Tools -> enterprise options it shows
CURRENT ACCOUNT -> MY COMPUTER and not that ACCOUNT that
i want it to be using.. then when i check the account i
want and hit set as default it does nothing..and it still
says CURRENT ACCOUNT -> MY COMPUTER and not the account i
have picked.

Thanks

Scott
