Microsoft Project cannot access the Microsoft Project Server

When I launch MS Project Professional 2002, I always have to make the
server trusted. Is there a quick way to eliminate this error?

Microsoft Project cannot access the Microsoft Project Server

Please check the Server URL in the Collaborate tab of the Options
dialog box (Tools menu). Make sure the server is functioning
correctly, and is a valid Microsoft Project 2002 Server. Note that you
cannot display pages from a Microsoft Project 2000 server inside
Microsoft Project 2002.
Retry accessing the Microsoft Project Server -

Can anyone help?

You could setup a group policy if you are on a domain. If not, just
train the users that this only has to be done once for their user
account.

David - Thank you very much for your response. The problem is that we
have to make the server trusted all the time. Almost every time we
launch MS Project Professional 2002. Any other suggestion?

I don't exactly understand why you are having to do this every time you
start Project Pro. Setting the server as Trusted is an IE issue and
should need to be done once per user. However, if you are using
something special like Terminal Services or Citrix you might have
temporary profiles. Or if your users are working on mnay different
machines, they might have a different profile on each machine unless
you have roaming profiles setup.

Do you have a Windows Administrator you can work with to help you with
these profile issues?

Do a search for group policy and you will probably find tons of
articles that cover setting up group policies.

The item you want to setup is IE and you want to add your Project
Server as a Trusted Site.

Do you have a Windows Admin that can help you?
