Microsoft Project crashes when trying to open a project from Project Server

Microsoft Project 2003 crashes when trying to open any project from
Project Server. This is the first time I have seen this error. I
checked KB article KB832395, but it does not apply.

Error Message:
Faulting application winproj.exe, version 11.1.2004.1707, stamp
40ebc70a, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.1217, stamp
3eb1b41a, debug? 0, fault address 0x00033905.
