Microsoft Project Server 2002 error code 9100

Any assistance resolving the following error would be much
appreciated. We are using Microsoft Project Server 2002, with a
separate server handling the SQL part.

"An exception occurred in the Microsoft Project Server. Microsoft
Project Server encountered a problem with this error code: 9100.
Please contact your server administrator"

This came up after attempting to import a project plan from Project
Professional 2002 to Project Server. The import appeared to have
completed successfully, but the plan could not be viewed from the web
interface. When closing out of Project Professional, the above error
appeared.

My organization is new to Project Server. Could you also point me to
some general useful resources (forums, websites, etc) for Project
Server?

Thank you.

It is often hard to decipher these error messages. Often
you need to get access to the server to monitor the error
logs created. these can sometimes be a tad more
enlightening....

errors like these have occured here before, and often
relate to performance/time out issues.

you cna learn more about monitoring performance from P2002
articles on www.technet.com and www.msdn.com

I would recommend you get some performance monitoring set
up on the box(s) and attempt to iron out any bottlenecks.
This will reduce the amount of user-end errors being
returned (sometimes ;))

Its often trial and error to be honest. good luck

This indicates a permissions issue. That's the most I can tell you with the
information you've provided. Microsoft provides extensive information on
Project Server on TechNet and MSDN. These news groups are another great
source of information. You might also consider acquiring a copy of my book.

cut and paste for these.
