MICROSOFT PROJECT TASK DURATION

[TARISUMI]

when i start a project and i insert a duration of 1 day for example, it shows
up as one day, however on the bar chart it shows up as 3 days. when i insert
1 week, it shows up as 3 weeks. i tried changing the setting for 24 hours in
one day, and it worked for a while till i tried adding resource names. then
it went back to tripling the duration that i try to input. is there and
update to fix this.

Hi TARISUMI ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

If you define a day as 24 hours and use a 8 hour per day calendar, then
entering 1 day Duration will span 3 * 8 hour days. You have a mis-match.
