Microsoft Publisher 2003 and Internet Explorer8

I just published my website which I designed with Microsoft Publisher 2003. Everything works perfectly in Mozilla Firefox. In IE8 the navigation bars are missing and scrolling down the page is very choppy. Does anybody have any advise what I could do to fix this?

Thanks,

Sabine

Thank you for the fix DavidF - ungrouping the nav bars created with the MS Pub 2003 wizards. I did this: For each page; Edit>Select All and then Arrange>Ungroup; File>Publish To Web.

Now the links created with the Horizontal Nav Bar wizard appear to work with IE8 / Vista.

Links created using Vertical Nav Bar wizard appear unaffected by this fix. They still appear as dashes / not text; clicking on them has no result.

Thank you.

After some thought, I remembered the MS Publisher "Master Page." Previously I applied "the fix" only to the numbered pages. Thanks. All is well, now.

Actually no, all is not well. You need to move the vertical navbar and
anything else you have on the Master Page to the main page. Use of the
Master Page in a web publication results in some unpredictable results and
should not be done. Look at your page
http://www.kruegerconsulting.biz/index_files/Custom_Consulting.htm in
FireFox. The vertical menu does not load or work...doesn't work on the home
page either. Sorry, good idea putting the navbar on the Master Page, but it
ends up breaking it...
