I want to make member cards for a club. I used Publishers business card
function. My problem is that I can't put unique names and a member numbers
on the page. It wants to print ten of the same name and number per page. I
would be grateful for any help. Thanks.

If you were using Word, you could use the <Next Record> field to merge in the
next set of information. Publsiher doesn't have this option, so I suggest
you change your data to have the details of 10 people per record - Name 1,
Address 1, Name 2, Address 2, etc.. That way, you'll be able to print 10
different records for each sheet. You need to be aware that Publisher can
only handle 256 data fields, so you can only have up to 25 pieces of
information per person (which should really be enough). Hope this helps.

Wow, John! Talk about doing it the long way around.

Two words - Mail merge.

JoAnn,

I know about Mail Merge, but could you please explain for all the viewers at
home exactly how you would print 10 individual business cards (with separate
names and addresses on each one) on one page using mail merge and not print
10 of the same one? Your answer doesn't help Spartacus (or me) that much.

If you are looking at print preview, the cards will have the same data, this is a bug
in the Publisher program. On the print page there is an option to test, use this
option on plain stock. There is no difference in printing business cards or labels.
Each card will have a different name or whatever data you include in your list.
