Hi,

I've done all the necessary 'Windows Updates' (inc SP4) & 'Office Updates'
(inc SP3) as a separate update is there any need for me to do the above
update as well? I'm running office 2000 with SP3 installed.

Many thanks in advance

Matt U.K.

p.s.

I don't do any development SDK etc ...

Hi Matt,

Yes, as the vulnerability could be exploited via
a virus or a worm without the security fix, as
the programs have the ability to run VBA even if
you don't intentionally select to use it.

Hi Bob,

Many thanks for the prompt reply.

We are running Symantec (v8.0 Corporate Edition) antivirus software, would
this not protect against this vulnerability?
