Microsoft Server 2007 Report Pack ?

Hey, I downloaded some information on the Report Pack and I'm not sure
where I get the following tools:

SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

Are these part of the SQL Server installation CD or are they separate
and distinct offerings? Is Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 part of BIDS?

Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction to get these
items.

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms173767.aspx :
"Business Intelligence Development Studio is Microsoft Visual Studio
2005 with additional project types that are specific to SQL Server
2005 business intelligence. Business Intelligence Development Studio
is the primary environment that you will use to develop business
solutions that include Analysis Services, Integration Services, and
Reporting Services projects."

This can be installed from the SQL Server 2005 media.

On your client machine? Although I've seen them on the server, I get
the impression they are supposed to run on your workstation.

Please confirm.

Thanks,

These are development tools. They can be run on the workstation, or if
it's a development server, on the server. You could run them on a
production server, but I don't think you'll find many people that
would recommend this. Your choice. I am not a licensing expert, so
you'll need to talk to your MS rep to explore how much it costs to
install them on the machines of your choosing.
