Microsoft Sync Services constantly crashing

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

When I upgraded to Microsoft Office 2008, I turned on Microsoft Sync Services to sync my Entourage calendar and Contacts with iCal and Address Book. It worked fine until I installed the latest patch, 12.1.2. Now, Microsoft Sync Services is constantly crashing, with only the following error message: "Microsoft Sync Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

My iCal and Address Books sync fine between all my Macs. However, I can't sync my Entourage Exchange calendar and contacts with my iCal calendar or Address Book. Every time Entourage attempts to sync, it crashes and I get the message above.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem? Anyone have any ideas on hot so fix ti.

Try repairing your database with the database utility (launch Entourage
pressing the Option key down).

Then it could be some corrupted data either in the Entourage database,
or in the Truth (System) database. That's really hard to figure out.

Have you tried archiving or deleting very old events for instance??

Have you tried resetting SyncServices ?? (turn it off, then back on -
or, more drastic, use iSync to wipe out the cache and start clean).
