Microsoft Update Office XP verification

The new Microsoft Update allows you to update Office XP as well, but it
requests that you insert the installation CD for some updates. That's good
but we have many remote users with laptops running XP Pro and we cannot
release the CDs or make copies for everyone. Is there a way to bypass the
insert CD option by creating a local network installation or something.
Office XP running on these laptops is Enterprise, with a volume license.

Yes, we're using sus right now but by what the guys here are saying is that
you'd still need to provide the CD. From what article 828451 says we're still
going to need the cd's. The Service Pack site says you'll only need the CD
with the smaller install but not full Service Pack and I know that to be
untrue. What I'm looking for is anything other than coping the cd to a
partition locally on a laptop.

If you have the Office installation files on your HD still and have
not deleted them to save space, you will never have to place the CD in
the drive when installing Office updates, including service packs.
