My computer is 3 months old. MS Word has been working great for me until two
days ago. Now every time I open the word program, I get an error that says
Microsoft Visual Basic Automation Error , Error 440.

Doing a system restore does not take away the error code. What do I need to
do to fix this?

This is a basic automation error and my guess is that you've probably
installed some program that has a template addin for Word that is old
and causing errors.

Click Start > Run and type winword.exe /a and see if that stops the
error. If so, that means you have some template in a startup folder
that is conflicting.
