Microsoft Visual +++

I have several editions of Taxcut. I have recently tried
to check one of them and I keep getting the error message,
:
Microsoft Visual +++ Runtime Library

Runtime error!
Program - C:|taxcuto1\taxcut.exe
abnormal program termination

What do I need to do to correct this runtime problem?
