Microsoft Voice Recognition with medical dictation

Is there a way for the Microsoft Voice Recognition to "recognize" a RECORDED
voice file instead of "in person" dictation into the microphone? It seems
that the "normal" training couldn't be done this way, but is this a
possibility?
